Collaboration

We would be collaborating with The Curae Organisation, which is a mental health organisation. Check them out at @the_curae on Instagram!

Topic

We would focus on mental health.

  • To educate people on how to deal with mental health problems, such as anxiety and stress.

  • To tell people how to be aware of mental health issues and how to identify people with them.

  • To show them how to be positive when it comes to mental wellness

  • To give tips on sleeping schedule, its causes and ways to cure

Day 1 & 2

-  A one-hour informative session about mental health would be conducted.
- Topics included: mental health definition, explaining SDG 3, how to deal with mental health problems, such as insomnia and anxiety, how to be aware of mental health issues, how to stay positive, how to get help if you feel troubled, high-functional mental health, how to step out of your comfort zone, some feelings and problems etc.
- The Curae would be collaborating with Everdise to carry out the presentation.

Day 3

- 3 activities that are related to mental health would be conducted.
- The performance of the participants during the activity would be tabulated into the ‘point system’, as mentioned below at ‘prizes’.
- Activity 1: Mental Health Crossword Puzzle. 15 keywords of this topic (such as stress, anxiety, positivity) will be chosen for this topic. Players will try to fill in the letters based on the clues given, and after they finished the activity, hosts can reveal the answers as well as explain some vocabularies.
- Activity 2: Poster-making. Participants will be grouped in 3 and be assigned to different breakout rooms to make a poster about mental health or gender equality. After that, they will be brought back to the main meeting and all the posters would be shown. This acts as a recap poster for them and can also let people make new friends. These 10 posters would be published in the Learning Journey newsletter.
- Activity 3: Sketchful.io. Sketchful.io is a game where you have to draw out a picture according to the word given. However, there is a function where you can use custom words set by ourselves. A sketchful.io game about mental health would be played. Each participant should participate in this game, and should draw according to the word or phrase given without writing the word. This game will be played for 2 rounds.

Day 4

- 3 activities that are related to sleeping schedules  would be conducted.
- The performance of the participants during the activity would be tabulated into the ‘point system’, as mentioned below at ‘prizes’.
- Activity 1: Quizizz Game. One Quizizz quiz based on gender equality can be created and given to the participants at the last ten minutes of the last meeting to test the participants what they have learned in the previous meetings. The main point of the game is not competition, but rather to test the players on their knowledge.
- Activity 2: Word Jumble. A word jumble puzzle is created for the topic “Sleeping Schedules” that includes terms on sleeping schedules. While revealing the answers after participants have completed the puzzle, hosts can also explain a short history of some women. There would be 10 questions in the jumble.
- Activity 3: Gartic Phone. This is a game where participants need to type a sentence and other participants need to draw the scene of the sentence. Mental health version of Gartic phone is where each participant needs to think of some mental health problems and draw it out.

Prizes

A special certificate to award the person who gets points 60 and above. Participation certificates will also be given to other participants to encourage them in participating actively. Besides, each participant would receive a customized Spotify / YouTube playlist, consisting of songs that will make them relaxed and calm. It is all personally designed based on their MBTI, traits etc.

Current Progress

We have reached out to Curae about it, and they have agreed to work with us! Since we're under our school, we're currently waiting for their approval on our proposal.
